The Red Rocker Inn Cooking School
Welcome to the 2016 season of The Red Rocker Inn Cooking School. Classes taught by Chef Kaylea are open to any one who loves food and wants to improve their cooking skills. Classes are held select Saturdays beginning at noon and include group hands-on instruction and participation and lots of tasty sampling! Plan on about 1.5 hours per sesson. April 16 Homemade Pasta and Quick Sauces
May 7 Elegant Gourmet Picnics
June 25 Seared sesame tuna steak with orange ginger sauce, lemon scented jasmine rice and sauteed kale.
July 16 Grilled marinated flank steak, panzanella and grilled tomato salad, and lemon granita
August 20 Salmon three ways (grilled, baked, poached) with seasonal fruit salsa, "super grain" salads, and Red Rocker Inn blackberry cobbler
September 17 Mountain trout almandine with brown butter sauce, brussel sprouts with bacon and herbs, and roasted garlic local grits.
October 1 Restaurant style blue cheese meatloaf, tangy tomato jam, slow cooked southern collard greens, and rosemary roasted potatoes.
November 12 Perfect lemon pepper roasted chicken with thyme gravy, roasted root vegetables, and butternut squash and apple soup.
