Here's our newly painted house with new porch railings and roof!
Beginning in early 2014 we began extensive renovations on our beautiful old home. First we removed the carpeting from each of our 17 guest rooms to find... beautifully preserved 100 year-old hardwood floors, some in oak, some in pine. The floor in each room was carefully refinished to restore it's gleaming beauty. New area rugs add color and coziness. In addition, many rooms received fresh paint and other new decor. New carpet in the dining rooms and halls, new ceilings, new walls, and baths...
Not all the renovation work was cosmetic. Some was just for fun. How do you like our new firepit? It sits on a beautiful flagstone patio built by our son-in-law, Glenn. Additional outdoor tables and seating add to the friendly fun. The exterior has received a new coat of paint in a calming new color scheme. And our roof re-shingled with architechtural shingles. Winter 2016 saw the renovation of the public restrooms bringing them back to their turn-of-the century charm, but of course with modern conveniences!
